Description
The term even-weave applies to any fabric that is "evenly woven", so any fabric which has the same number of threads per inch in both the vertical and horizontal directions and all the threads have the same thickness.
The count differs from Aida because, in this case, we count the threads rather than the squares. Typically, even-weaves are stitched "over two threads," meaning that when following a chart, you skip one hole and stitch into the next, effectively working on a square made up of 2x2 threads. Therefore, to determine the correct size of your work, you need to take the fabric's count and divide it by 2. (28 count even-wave = 14 count Aida)
