What is a temperature blanket?
The so-called "Temperature Blanket" is a crocheted or knitted blanket where each row reflects the temperature of a specific day. The essence of the project is to crochet one row for the blanket each day, using a color selected based on the daily highest or lowest temperature. By the end of the year, you will have a colorful, unique blanket that showcases the temperature changes of that year and is beautiful at the same time!
Scheepjes Scrumptious is a deliciously sustainable go-to yarn, made of 50% Recycled Polyester (recycled plastic bottles) and 50% Acrylic. Scrumptious is a DK / Light (3) weight yarn, the recommended hook and needle size is 4.00mm. Easy-care and hypoallergenic, these yarns will soon become your new go-to's for a wide variety of projects, whether it’s a stuffed toy for a little one, a cozy throw for the couch, or a handmade garment. Being the same weight as Scheepjes' favorite, Colour Crafter, these new yarns can easily be combined or used as a substitute for the many existing patterns Scheepjes already has to offer in Colour Crafter. The 80 shades, in a mix of softly heathered and solid colors, offer lots of options to be creative!
The total yarn quantity in the package is 1100 grams, 3300 meters, which is sufficient for the following blanket sizes:
- Knitted blanket (approx. 120*150cm)
- Crocheted blanket (approx. 120*120cm)
- knitted cardigan - Women L size
- Knitted sweater - Man L size
