DMC Embroidery needles come in sizes 1-10, the smaller the number the larger the needle so a size 10 embroidery needle is the finest we sell. Size 7,5 and 3 embroidery needles are also known as crewel needles, deriving their name from a traditional style of embroidery that uses a fine 2-ply woollen thread. DMC color categorization helps you find the needles you are looking for: yellow for cross stitch, coral for embroidery, turquoise for tapestry, brown for golden needles, green for plastic needles, light green for beading needles, blue for chenille needles, and orange for darning needles.
